What We Do?

MFCCST works closely with a range of local community partners across Macclesfield, Cheshire East, South Manchester and Trafford.

We promote a clear and strategic message to all age groups from the age of 2+. Our packages support healthy and active lifestyles, as well as delivering key messages to create positive futures for children. Our success across our community has seen the rapid growth of our new Menu of support since our rebrand in 2021.

Our aim is to engage with Primary, Secondary, Further educational students, Pre School & Nursery Children in our community and give them the opportunity to take part in physical sporting activities throughout the year. This is delivered by our team of qualified sports coaches. We liaise with each individual school in order to deliver specific requirements and create fun, educational programmes for all ages.

The CST team plans the programme of sporting activities in line with National Curriculum objectives and covers various sports and skills to get all children active.

Our strong relationships with our partner schools means we have created not only a great menu of PE Support, but also educational delivery, mentoring packages, Breakfast and Lunch Clubs, after school fun and also extra curricular teams in various sports.

We are extremely proud of this programme and have extended our provision by over 80% in the last 24 months.

In addition to our coaching packages, we also offer further extensions to each school such as:

  • PE Packages
  • In school clubs(Breakfast, Lunch) and after school delivery
  • Completion in a range of sports - including our weekly Community Cup in partnership with Macclesfield FC
  • Education packages (Healthy Hearts, Active Science, What is Mental Health & Blue Zone Maths)
  • Staff CPD and support
  • Work Experience for young learners
  • Mentoring & Intervention sessions
  • SEN School support
  • Disability Sport

Not only do we have links with 3 local SEN schools but In early 2022 the CST started weekly football and multisport sessions for participants with a range of disabilities.

These originally were in partnership with the Cheshire Eye Society – with the CST fully taking over the reigns in late 2022.

These sessions are now solely football based with the hope of setting up Pan Disability Teams for both youth and adult in the near future.

These sessions are weekly at All Hallows College and will also include by 2023 our Deaf Footballer sessions to hopefully make a new team for the trust.

Care homes and Supported housing

With now an average of 11 sessions a week across Cheshire East we are the leading external provider across our area.

The sessions are fun and interactive and can be bespoke to the facility we visit and with our current provision we have over 10 care facilities and supported network's locally that we support.
