At present we do not get the previous funding streams from the 3 Football Charity Trusts.
However this has not detracted our programme, and we deliver a number of different educational packages across Cheshire East in local primary and secondary schools.
These packages include our partnership project with Astrazeneca. Active Science is a 6 week programme designed for year 6 and above in which we use the power of Sports science and scientific procedures and equipment to promote wellbeing. We are lucky to be 1 of 3 Community Foundations across the UK to have this project - ourselves, Cambridge United Foundation & Everton In The Community.
This project links well to our Healthy Hearts and Mental Health Awareness modules that we run across both Primary and secondary schools also.
In 2023 we also launched our Maths and English programmes for Primary Schools.
Our educational programmes mirror the Premier League Primary Stars Programme, but are funded locally via sponsorship with local businesses.
Not only do we supply the above but we also create links with educational authorities with our mentoring programme and support packages for a range of students and ages - including 1 to 1 support for students who need help with exams or careers and also sessions for students in isolation from other groups.
Physical Activity - This starts at the age of 2 to 102 with a range of sessions that are bespoke to age and ability in a range of sports and fun games in various environments from Pre-schools, primary, secondary and further education and also care homes and supported housing networks.
